As Head of Design at Z.A.K. Brand I redesigned the logo and gave the brand a new look that would set them apart in the Young Men’s Designer market.
I solely designed and developed all Product categories for mainline as well as developing Private label products for ROSS, Nordstrom and TJ Maxx. I worked closely with my Merchandising team in China making sure to implement a design and production calendar as well as traveling to China bi-annually to work directly with factories on new developments, sourcing new materials and trims, approving samples and problem solving any manufacturing issues.
I designed a regular and slim fit denim block that allowed us to offer Denim as a new product category, which successfully tested in Ross and was rolled out across stores nationwide.
Working directly with vendors allowed me to understand printing processes better and has helped me to design with cost in mind as well as creating final artwork that can be executed well and to a high standard.
